The English-language Master of Arts in Development Economics is jointly offered by the Department of Economics (Faculty of Economic Sciences) and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (Faculty of Agricultural Sciences). It builds on the successful Master of Arts in International Economics and the Master of Arts in Agribusiness; these programmes already had a strong specialisation in development issues. This research-oriented master's programme now offers a comprehensive four semester programme dedicated solely to the study of development economics issues. It leads to an internationally recognized and accredited master's degree in development economics and offers research-oriented teaching that covers theoretical as well as empirical issues in economic development. Its wide course offerings, one semester stay abroad, master's thesis and specialisation in agricultural economics or economics will enable students to analyse current issues in development economics and prepare them for careers in research or policy.Карьерные перспективы по завершению программы обучения "Развивающаяся Экономика (Магистр Наук)"

Georg-August-Universität Göttingen
Wirtschaftswissenschaftliche Fakultät
Service-Center für Studierende
Wirtschaftswissenschaftliche Studienberatung
Platz der Göttinger Sieben 3
37073 Göttingen
GERMANY
You are also welcome to hand deliver your application package during our office hours or by putting it in the mailbox of the Oeconomicum building.
Confirmation of receipt
We can also confirm receipt of your application. If you would like this option, please include a self-addressed and stamped post card in your application (loosely attach it to the very first page in your envelope!). Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to confirm the receipt of your application by email.
Before submitting your application, please confirm that your application materials are complete. Incomplete applications or those that are not received by the deadline cannot be considered and will be rejected. (However, if your undergraduate programme does not follow any credit point system, feel free to leave out information on credits, we will perform all conversions ourselves).
Applications that are received will remain at the university. We are not able to return your application materials to you.
Can I simultaneously apply to several master's programmes?
You are welcome to apply to multiple programmes at the same time, but please ensure that you submit a separate and complete application for each programme. If you are submitting multiple applications in one envelope, please make sure that they are properly grouped, so they can be easily distinguished from one another.
How do I apply to start beyond the first semester of studies?
To apply to start in the programme at a higher semester level, please contact the Student Advisory Office.
How to deal with notarized copies?
When sending copies of original documents, the copies must be notarized. Notarization provides proof of the authenticity of the document, e.g. a copy of a certificate. Sending a copy of a document that is not notarized leads to the rejection of your application. Please ensure that the notarization is made by a proper and official person authorized to notarize documents.
Copies of notarized documents, regardless of whether they are electronic or hard copies are considered copies, and not notarized documents. A copy is only considered notarized when it contains the actual physical notary stamp. If you make a copy of a notarized document, the copy alone is not sufficient. In order to ensure that it is valid, you would need the copied document to also be notarized.
