To support our Business Unit Group Technology & Innovation in Munich, Germany, we are hiring an Innovation Master (m/f/d) Black Belt.
Tasks:
- Consult with various business units to drive performance, shape innovation strategies and build capabilities to help them achieve their profitable growth targets
- Identify opportunities to strengthen business units’ innovation portfolios and help fill their pipeline with exciting new and sustainable solutions. Coach ideation teams to deliver compelling pitches to senior management to obtain funding
- Drive activities to help improve the organization’s ability to capture ideas within the company and translate those into new, highly-profitable solutions
- Coach project leaders to explore new markets and capture deep insights into unmet needs. Bring innovative ideas to market with strong and validated value propositions, and maximize the business potential of each idea
- Provide training to others in the organization to share cutting-edge innovation methodologies and nurture the innovation culture and ecosystem within Clariant
- Find creative ways to help business units measure the level of innovation of their business offerings and identify ways to improve their innovation performance
Requirements:
- Scientific Bachelor or Master Degree
- Prior experience in driving innovative business opportunities from Idea to Commercialization
- Prior work experience in startups, incubators, or entrepreneurial divisions of large corporations, in innovation management, new business development, or business strategy, with significant experience leading teams and customer engagements
- Great communication and inspirational leadership skills, and the ability to connect with people across the organization, different hierarchies, geographies, and cultures
- Proven thought leader with intellectual curiosity and superior ability to use reason, logic and creativity to solve ambiguous problems
- Experience in managing complex projects, generating work plans and managing uncertainties in projects involving new markets and new technologies.
- Ability to travel as needed to support different locations (travel ranging from 10-50% depending on your personal preferences, desired location and selected business unit)
- Strong presentation skills and ability to drive consensus and decision making in meetings with senior executives
- Strong English language skills. Ability with German, Spanish or Portuguese would be a plus
